"The Legend of Beauty and the Beast" brings Prime 1 Studio together with remarkable talent in pursuit of new heights in sculptural artistry. As the latest addition to the series, illustrator Taiki's original work "Nue" joins the lineup.

Taiki's first solo exhibition, "Taiki Exhibition," featured "reproducible paintings" created by digitally designing even oil-paint-like raised textures and realizing them through print. From this body of work, born from a modernized approach to classical techniques, this statue takes as its motif a piece depicting a girl nestled against a grotesque form. Retaining the ornate beauty and uncanny atmosphere of the original, its intricately rendered details and textures, along with its sense of spatial depth, have been reconstructed at 1/5 scale.

The massive Nue captures an otherworldly beauty in meticulous detail. A simian visage painted in reddish brown. Tiger-like limbs defined by powerful, bulging musculature. Serpentine scales with a sleek, lustrous sheen. Even the back, unseen in the original artwork, has been fully developed in keeping with the work's visual tone. By contrast, the girl is sculpted with an intentionally doll-like approach. Her expression and skin are given a subtly inorganic quality, sharpening the contrast with Nue. The kaleidoscopic eyes shared by both are rendered with intricate patterns and a lifelike moist sheen, inviting the viewer to imagine the connection between them.

The themed base draws inspiration from the patterns and gold ornamentation in the original background. Its weighty design further accentuates the statue's presence.
