An Update on How Shipping Costs Work at Prime 1 Studio

Jun 12, 2026

Dear Collectors,

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of Prime 1 Studio.

We've received a number of questions recently about shipping costs, so we'd like to take a moment to explain how shipping works for our products — and why the amount shown at the time of pre-order is an estimate, not a final figure.

Why is the shipping cost at pre-order an estimate?

Our statues are large, hand-crafted collectibles, and there is often a long journey between the day you place your pre-order and the day your statue is ready to ship. Shipping costs are calculated based on the final carton dimensions and weight of the product, as well as your destination — but at the pre-order stage, mass production hasn't begun yet, so the final carton specifications aren't locked in. We use our production experience to estimate these as accurately as possible, but the actual dimensions and weight can shift slightly once production is complete.

On top of that, international freight rates fluctuate in real time, influenced by global conditions and fuel costs. Depending on when your item ships, the final cost may be higher or lower than the estimate you saw at pre-order.

When will I know my final shipping cost?

Before your order ships, we will always contact you by email with the confirmed shipping cost. If there is any change from your original estimate, you'll know about it — and have a chance to review it — before your item leaves our warehouse.

What we're doing on our end

We continuously compare carriers and shipping methods to find the option that delivers your collection safely while keeping costs as reasonable as possible. We're also working to improve the accuracy of our pre-order estimates so that the gap between "estimated" and "final" stays as small as it can be.

If you have any questions, our Customer Support team is always happy to help.

Thank you for being part of the Prime 1 Studio community.

Sincerely,

Prime 1 Studio
